A Pot Pourri of My Writings...ha!

i have plainly laid out much of whom we are...what we can do...many will not like it nor believe it but it still is going on and still IS...it always makes me laugh at people like that..they live in their ignorance quite happily...ha!

Well!!!!!

did you ever realize you are just a bag of bones
sewn into a body of flesh: not really solid
creams bacteria water can swim through
if you looked at your from far away; what would you see..
a mass of twirling whirling shapes

not many know whom they are
products of ignorance; stupidity
on cell phones mobiles shouting constantly
words of inanity....senseless in degree

so pull the blinders off your eyes
look at what really is
probably never will you see for what lies inside of you is your reality
opinions of mediocrity; rantings of church; politiki soak

this is not about everyone but surely about many.....ha!

Intention....

God is intention
soul transcendence; soul travel is intention

like leaf whose intention to grow can be seen
on Kirlian Photography
at end of intention it will die
as will we when come we to end of our intention here
unless a new intention we create

engrafted we all be into body
we really do not belong
but our intention was to incarnate; so here we be

magnificent are we
only the strong will arrive on earthly plane
even though when here weak will be
their intention to be so
caught up in opinions running rife
caught up in mediocrity
caught up in being less than they truly are…

and so it…

(and many will disagree!!!)

Whom you be....

imagine if you will and I will take you there
into a place supreme where once you dwelled
another time of being; lessons for your soul
perhaps in ancient Scythia; Carthage: Rome
matters not if you had there to be; part of your history
on Venus or on Mars; in different form certainly
yet always your Self manifesting through each form
how magnificent you are

perhaps in a different universe; words cannot describe
haisdkfgglhlh;h'f'd's'''flkgkgkgkgkdp0000ddd
certainty...

i have found my way through many of these
fleetingly they come and go; sparks of knowing; then gone
matters not for i am ME; Now: in this body
sum total of all that has been; perhaps will be; AM

and so it is....

roaming around....

'twixt Mars and Jupiter; Ceres raises shining head
look closely you will see mysterious shapes
colours galore: pink blue; colours of rainbow
but only there if you can see...ha!

if into fairy land you go where magic plays
myths of Greece and Rome as well
all tales have to tell
reflecting ways of mankind; then and now

i watched a film from Germany: a fairytale
das Tapfere Schneiderlein: The Tailor
from Goethe Institut...
magic played throughout; taking me to another place

unicorn jumps up in air
wild is he as I am too
white as driven snow; horn of pure crystal
haunts the forest and our dreams
He is Christ Consciousness
and so it is

To Thine Own Self Be True

cnwriter..carolinaBy cnwriter..carolina, 20th Dec 2014 |

Everyone one day will find their True Self, the One we all have searched for. As is read: To Thine Own Self Be True. Going through the trials and tribulations, joys and happiness that are all part of each expression in the classroom of life.

Not for me

It might not be your way
But it is mine

It might not be your thought
But it is mine

It might not be your way of expressing
But it is mine

For many years
It takes
To find out whom we truly are

Walking down so many paths
Listening to varied points of view
accessing words and thoughts
feelings too...

gods of opinion...

gods of opinion
rear their ugly heads
jealousy their raison d'etre
way of being...
i do not care
more important things to do
No matter what be your scorn
judgements placed

Being true to one self

Many lifetimes it has taken
To find my True Self
To Mine Own Self be True
manifest in the world

It pleaseth not many
Yet inspires too
For the Truth of our Beingness
Always shines through

'Tis only those whose jealousy
need to drag down
Will not see the glory that surrounds
Those who Light shines forth
Through words actions
and beingness....

Beingness....

Be the Goodness that you are
Be the Truth that you are
Be the Spirit that you are

The reward will be that you know these
Your spirit will come more alive
present for you in every moment
Walking hand in hand with the Beloved
knowing yourself and God as One...

quote John-Roger

make others wrong

try you may to belittle
make others wrong
but lash it will back
in your bloody face

stripped of all goodness
badness takes it place
into the murk of yourself
you find your way
no light there can shine

perhaps one day
another way you will find
but now in dark corner
all by yourself
sit and bemoan life's miseries

ha ha....

Causes of Dis-ease in the Body..an Education on What Not To Eat....

Many have written on this subject..but I again want to bring it to the notice as truly your life and well being depend a lot on what you put in your body. There are of course other factors but let's concentrate on this today...tomorrow is another day I hope....

Firstly

If healthy you would be
Take heed of what I write below

For good for bad
Soon you will know
It is completely up to you

Not very nice as you will see
What food companies do
To you to me
If unaware as many be

Little education has there been
From teachers mums or dads

Who really did not know
Or maybe did and never cared enough
A sorry state indeed
I don't mean all of you
But choose your poisons yes you do!
am lucky to have been around then....and still here!!!!

Unfortunately the Bad

It is very important that you find about the negative effects of hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats and oils in the body, what these are and how they are formed.
• How are hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils formed?
• What is the difference between eating “cis” or “trans” fats and oils?
• What do “trans” fats do?
• Read the Labels..Your Life depends on Them
• Daily nagging symptoms

Heart Health

For those of you who want to be healthy there are certain things you have to do. It might take a little time and a lot of effort but well worthwhile will be the results.
If the label contains the words HYDROGENATED or PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED FATS OR OILS – do not eat it yourself, do not let your family or friends eat it and get it out of your kitchen.

Why can’t I eat hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils?
Dorland’s Medical Dictionary defines ‘poison’ as “any substance which when relatively small amounts are ingested, has a chemical action that may cause damage to structure or disturbance of function, producing symptomatology, illness, or death”

How are hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats or oils formed?
Partially hydrogenated oils do not exist in nature. Partially hydrogenated fats and oils are processed versions of naturally occurring fats and oils. In nature, most dietary fats and oils exist in a structural form that is called the ‘cis’ form.
When these natural, ‘cis’ form fats are processed by bubbling hydrogen gas through them at high temperatures, they become partially hydrogenated which changes the structure to the ‘trans’ form. The natural ‘cis’ fat has a bend whilst the processed ‘trans’ fat is a straight molecule.

The difference between eating “cis” or “trans” fats and oils?

The difference is of major significance. When eaten, fats and oils are incorporated into your cell membranes. ’Trans’ fats alter the configuration of these delicate structures. Further, ’trans’ fats interact with normal fat metabolism disturbing function in a most destructive manner. Hence, these substances meet the definition of a “poison”.

What do good “cis” fats do?
Many essential functions in our bodies depend on a group of hormones called prostaglandins (PGs) that are produced from fats in our diets. We might look at it as there being good PGs and bad PGs. The good PG families counteract the bad effects of the bad PG 2 family by decreasing blood clotting, decreasing blood pressure, decreasing cholesterol, decreasing inflammation and increasing natural killer cell activity that is necessary to fight tumors.

Baddies oh oh oh No!

What do “trans” fats do?
They interfere with important normal functions by inhibiting enzymes that are necessary for your body’s normalmetabolism of fats, and they keep doing it for a long time. When you eat normal ‘cis’ fats, your body metabolizes half of them in 18 days. When you eat ‘trans’ fats, your body requires 51 days to metabolize half of them. This means that half of the ‘trans’ fats you eat today will still be inhibiting essential enzyme systems in your body 51 days from now!

Most of the ill effects in our society are promoted by or aggravated by the bad PGs called the PG2 family. These are derived directly from naturally occurring fat found in red meat, shellfish, and dairy products. Illnesses includecancercardiovascular diseaseheart attacks and strokes, inflammatory conditions and auto-immune diseases

Evolution of Italian Cucina....

Detailing the two distinct styles of Italian food evolution, simple cooking to the more exotic formulas.  i hope those of you Italians do not mind me writing so...but i have studied many cuisines and Italian cucina is my favorite...i have also studied nutrition and been a published restaurant and food writer for many years...enjoy!

The Varied Delights of Italian Food

The evolution of Italian cuisine as we know it today has been greatly influenced by historical class structures, and by the variety of cooking from each of the twenty-one very distinctive regions of this food-loving country.

As we journey through the various regions, we are tempted by the marvellous ingenuity of the citizens to take a simple tomato, herb, olive oil and make them into a glorious dish. The further south we go, the more the use of tomatoes whilst up in the northern sections of this fantastic country we come across rice dishes and polentas. Of course there are always the varied cheese and meat and poultry dishes with vegetables playing a large part of what is served.

Cucina Povera

From such a perspective, Italian cooking can be divided into two general types: ‘cucina povera’ which literally translates to ‘cooking of the poor’ and is strictly regional. Food bought at the local market, fished in local waters, hunted on nearby land or grown in local gardens. Recipes were simple, basic. Food in these regions was for nourishment, and yet with the creative use of a wide variety of herbs, the dishes became flavourful and pleasing to the eye. Daily meals consisted of one dish but served with chunks of home baked bread and a bottle of local wine, they became a feast.

In the North, rice has been a staple of the Milanese diet since the 15th century and the risotto giallo or alla Milanese (rice seasoned with saffron) has not changed in over two hundred years. Polenta which is a dish made from cornmeal is a staple in the Veneto area whilst from the south of Italy, spaghetti seasoned with tomato sauce or olive oil is still to be found cooking merrily in many a farm kitchen and local trattoria.

Cucina Alto-Borghese

On the other end of the scale is the ‘cucina alto-borghese’ cooking done in the kitchens of the landed gentry and rich merchant families of Italy. This has evolved not only through regional roots but through the cosmopolitan nature of this class of people who ate for pure enjoyment, and the crossing cultures of foreign invaders who occupied different regions and left their mark – the French in Piedmonte, the Lorraines in Tuscany, the Bourbons in Napoli and Sicily, and the Austrians in Lombardia and the Veneto. By influencing food trends in various regions, these peoples created a more refined and imaginative way of preparing foods. In their kitchens, cooks may have prepared spaghetti with a tomato sauce but would have enlivened it with little meatballs, sliced livers, boiled eggs or even baked it in a sweet pastry shell. Rice may have been served as a ‘bomba’ – in a mold with a ragu of meat and mushrooms.

Nowadays with all the changes in the mores of society, a vast blending in the classes has taken place. With this has come significant changes in both types of cuisine, to the point that we, ourselves, are enjoying a sophisticated version of the ‘cucina povera’ in all its glorious simplicity whilst the ‘cucina alto borghese’ has been lost in the swirling mists of an era when plentiful supplies of time, domestic help and wealth existed together.

Herbs, The Aphrodisiacs of Love and health and harmony and healing

Herbs, The Aphrodisiacs of Love and health and harmony and healing

A fascinating article covering the history, ancient lore and beliefs regarding herbs, their aphrodisiacal properties, medicinal and culinary uses. A sweet, somewhat different perception of some well-known and much loved herbs.
The Ancient and Modern Uses, Virtues, Delights and Magickal Properties of Herbs

From time immemorial lovers have sort after Elixirs of LOVE, and Aphrodisiacs to enhance the experience of their joining.

In olden days, wise women would brew herbs and potions to be sipped but most of them were then burned as witches. These women steeped in the old ways knew all about herbs and the effects they would have both as Aphrodisiacs and other medicinal uses. Nowadays we have doctors prescribing pills many of which were derived originally from herbs but now with new fangled technology, nearly anything can be modified.

But let us return to Herbs where it is stated ‘Better is a dish of herbs where love is than a fatted ox and hatred with it’ –Proverbs 15:17

Starting with Rosemary. In The Queen’s Delight of 1695, it was written that, “It comforteth the heart, the stomach, the brain and all the nervous parts of the body”. Actually its medicinal properties do stimulate the brainand nervous system, and calm palpitations. The ancient Greeks discovered that Rosemary benefits the circulation. Add it to roasting lamb and it tastes even better if anchovies are used too. Push a sprig of rosemary, a small piece of peeled garlic and about half a tinned anchovy into each stab in the lamb flesh. Munch on a sprig or two as a breath freshener (that will delight your love partner).

Fennel seems to be more male oriented and is a symbol of FERTILITY. It was given to Roman Gladiators to add to their relish for battle and the athletes of Ancient Greece ate it when preparing for the Olympic Games. Use it to make a delicious salad with thinly sliced onion and tomatoes cut in quarters. The mixing of fennel juice and milk with honey, sugar and liquorice in equal quantities is said to enhance Sexual Vigour whilst today’s Breast enhancing creams often contain fennel and fenugreek, a natural source of oestrogen.

Some more fascinating qualities and uses of Herbs, a gift from Mother Nature

Believed by the Arabs to increase virility, Mint is used today by herbalists for cases of impotence and when infused in hot milk eases stomach pain. Both the Greeks and the Romans knew the digestive benefits of following a large meal with mint tea so our habit of eating after-dinner mints dates all the way back to those ancient banquets! Add a little chopped mint to omelettes and scrambled eggs in the final cooking stage, and how about the ‘hint of mint in Murray Mints!’.

Sage gained a reputation as the medieval gentleman’s cure for all ailments. But as written by Walt Whitman describing the amorous pollen-gathering of ‘the hairy wild bee that…grips the full-grown ladyflower, curves upon her with amorous firm legs, takes his will of her’ on a bed scented by sage and birch-bark. It was valued in Ancient Greece and Rome as a mental stimulant and today’s research is looking at sage to defeat Alzheimer’sdisease. Sage in cheese, sage in stuffing for turkeys and pork, and as a tisane to benefit digestion, skin, memory and emotional state. Infuse an ounce of dried leaves with an ounce of sugar, the juice of a lemon and a pinch of grated lemon rind in a quart of boiling water, strain after half an hour.

Thyme is beloved of writers perhaps its name has mystical, creative energy. It is also the symbol of thumos, the spirit of force and courage which was embroidered by ladies on their loved ones scarves before sending them off to the jousts. Shakespeare’s Titania was sleeping on a bank ‘whereon the wild thyme blows’ and along came Puck who dropped the optically deluding liquid upon her lids. Thyme scented bathwater was also supposed to increase the valour of Roman soldiers, and Paul Morel took Miriam out after supper for a quick cuddle on a bankof sweet thyme beside the river at Eastwood. There are over a hundred species of this herb with silver-leafed thymes having the best flavour.

The flowers of Meadowsweet were used by two chemists at Bayer dyeworks in 1897 to produce acetylated spiralic acid otherwise known as aspirin. The Druids used three sacred herbs – water mint, vervain and meadowsweet for what it is not known whilst Elizabethans used it as strewing herbs because of its delicate fragrance. ‘No wonder’, wrote John Gerard, ‘the smell thereof makes the heart merrie and joyful and delighteth the senses.’ Nowadays a lovely touch for wedding night preparations is to arrange for your bedroom floor to be covered with herbs of Venus (erotic love) and Mars (combat). Venus herbs are marjoram, mint, thyme, meadowsweet, verbena, valerian and violet. Scatter basil and broom flowers for the Mars man.

Rich in Vitamin C and calcium, Parsley is known for its warming effects and benefit to the digestion. Hand parsley to any young lady who wishes to become pregnant and, perhaps, as per Nicholas Culpeper suggests, smear fried parsley over aching breasts. The Italian sauce Gremolada is made by sautéing chopped parsely with minced garlic, lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon, spread over braising meat just before serving. A delicious way to enhance Osso Bucco and other meats.

More best loved Herbs and their uses...

“…fair Venus raised the plant, which from the Goddess’ touch derived its scent”
Aphrodite’s sweet breath is reputed to have created the scent of Wild Marjoram and its purpose in Love potions was to relax the inhibited. Ancient Greeks made use of it to cure rheumatism, narcotic poisoning and depression and for its anti-toxic properties. Known as the herb of JOY, it was used by William Shakespeare in his The Winter’s Tale where Perdita tempts an admiring suitor into her power with the prospect of inhaling ‘ hot marjoram, lavender, mints and savory’. For salad dressings, sweet marjoram is delicious whilst for meat based sauces and pasta dishes use wild marjoram.

One of the most loved herbs is Lavender and its name is thought to come from the Latin lavare, by way of the Romans who used it as bath perfume. Legend tells us that Mother Mary dried the baby Jesus’s swaddling sheets on lavender bushes. Lavender water is good for the skin and pinching its flowers releases a little oil which can be rubbed into the most Intimate of places. Lavender vinegar can be made by infusing a few sprigs in a bottle of white vinegar, leaving it on a sunny window ledge for around 14 days and then try a delicious taste treat – sprinkle on fresh strawberries.

So my friends do enjoy your Herbs and use them plentifully and with loving...
